Creating work that moves between field documentation and public connection.
Who is behind the camera?
Steph Wood is a Sydney-based wildlife and underwater photographer and the founder of TeffyRose Creative. Her work centres on documenting marine ecosystems and wildlife through both photography and fine-art illustration.
As a certified PADI Divemaster, she works in remote and demanding environments to capture imagery that reflects both the beauty and vulnerability of the natural world, with a strong focus on underwater and coastal ecosystems.
Her practice is grounded in long-form visual storytelling, creating bodies of work that can exist across editorial publication, exhibition, and educational formats while contributing to broader conservation awareness.
Steph’s practice is driven by a belief that photographs can do more than record a scene. They can hold a sense of place, reveal ecological change, and help audiences connect emotionally with the natural world.
This approach shapes both commissioned work and long-form personal projects, especially those centred on marine biodiversity, environmental vulnerability, and conservation communication.
